White Lather Formula

A new bar of white soap, unwrapped at a marble basin. The first breath is bright and clean — a waxy, just-washed sparkle, a sharp twist of lime and lemon peel — and right behind it a cool rush of mint and garden herbs, like cold water running over your hands. Then the lather settles into white flowers: a moist lily of the valley, transparent jasmine, a touch of spring lilac and a soft line of lavender through the middle. As it dries, the scent turns to clean wood rather than musk, with a little moss and sweet hay — fresh, light and close to the skin, like a towel that still smells of good soap.
