Frost Lavender Formula

It opens like a window thrown wide on a frozen morning. Bright bergamot and lavender arrive together, and a quick breath of cool mint chills the air for a moment, then fades. Underneath, something warmer is already waiting — clove and a single thread of cinnamon, like spices kept in a cedar drawer beside a bundle of dried lavender. Within the hour the citrus softens and lavender takes the centre, rounded into a gentle, faintly minty rose. Dry hay, a cool shadow of moss and a soft, powdery musk stay on the skin long after the spice has settled. A study of the classic fougère: cold and warm, held in balance.
