Dusk Courtyard Formula

It begins just after sunset, in a courtyard whose stone walls still hold the warmth of the afternoon. The first breath is bright and clean — white petals catching the last of the light, a quick glint of fresh linen, a green edge of rose — and close behind it comes the warm, spicy herb of thyme growing in a pot by the door. Within the hour white flowers fill the space: magnolia, lily of the valley and an airy jasmine with a just-picked green to its petals, touched with a cool hint of violet leaf. As the evening cools, amber and myrrh rise from the warm stone and a dry wood settles beneath, staying close to the skin long into the night.
