Creaminess

Nearly two thirds of this formula is citrus — lemon peel pushed toward lime, with green juice around it. On its own that much zest would be sharp and quickly gone. Under it lies a cream of coconut milk, butter and vanilla that is only about one part in fifteen, yet it changes everything: the zest now tastes like a dessert, and the drydown keeps a warm, milky skin instead of vanishing. The cream is small on purpose; any larger and the citrus would turn heavy.

Lifting the opening

How a very large citrus opening is lifted with clean, lime-like notes and a touch of green so that it reads as freshly cut fruit rather than a cleaning product.

Reading regulations

Why, at this dose, the lemon must be a grade with its light-sensitising compounds removed and the lime a distilled oil, so that the fragrance stays safe on skin in the sun.
