Description

Late morning in a quiet modern tea atelier: a fluted white wall striped with soft light, a counter of black stone, and on it a thin glass cup of pale golden tea on a brass saucer, a bergamot cut in half and a sprig of jasmine. It opens bright and bittersweet, bergamot with sweet orange and mandarin, a twist of lemon zest and the cool spice of cardamom, rising like steam from the cup. Then a clear jasmine air opens, wide and weightless, with a faint rose and honey, the dry violet of brewed leaves, a herbal touch of clary sage and the warmth of nutmeg and pepper. It settles into a clean musk that stays close to the skin and a soft, velvety wood, with a clear amber at the very end. A study in how a cup of tea is drawn from notes that each only hint at it.
