Transparency

A rose that makes up nearly a third of a formula usually turns heavy and jammy. Here it is matched by more than a quarter of a transparent, airy jasmine material, so the petals seem to float rather than press. Citrus and cool forest notes, about a seventh, open the way, and soft woods, about a fifth, give the rose somewhere to land. The space around a large note matters as much as the note itself.
