    There is no rose oil in this formula. Its rose is built from ten single materials that together make almost half of it: two rose pillars in equal measure — one honeyed and petal-soft, one fresh and geranium-bright — then a sweeter, fresher rose, a dewy rose alcohol and four light, fruity rose esters. A tiny touch of a green, metallic rose-leaf material gives the leaf, and an even smaller touch of a jammy plum-rose material gives the depth. Piece by piece, single materials add up to a rose that reads as natural.

Description

Beneath a white marble rose arbor just after sunrise, with mist still in the garden: creamy ivory and butter-yellow roses heavy with dew, a few violets and a slice of lemon on a white marble bench. The first breath is lemon, mandarin, bergamot and lime peel over a green rose leaf, with a touch of cool mint and clove that feels almost like tea. Then the rose opens clear and wide — honeyed petals and a fresh, geranium-bright rose, a dewy, slightly waxy petal and a light fruit, carried on an airy jasmine. It dries down to a soft violet and iris powder, silky flowers and a smooth wood. A clear, petal-fresh rose for a fine fragrance.
