More than half of this formula is a bright bouquet: a soapy, bergamot-like freshness as its largest material, a light fruity rose, honeyed rose petals and lilac. Under it sits the powder — two violet materials, a hay-sweet one and a soft musk — barely a sixteenth of the formula. These are heavy, slow materials: they hardly show while the bouquet is fresh, but they stay on the skin after it has faded, so the fragrance ends as a soft violet powder.
