Description

A bergamot grove at night: a brass lantern glowing on a branch heavy with fruit, lavender and a sprig of rose geranium on the stone ledge below, heliotrope breathing in the warm air. The first breath is bergamot and lemon peel with the green-leaf bitterness of petitgrain and the herbal coolness of lavender. Then the green rose of geranium and a sweet lily of the valley open in clear, airy jasmine, and a soft powder of anise, heliotrope and tarragon spreads beneath them. It dries down to a warm, herbal-clover base with creamy sandalwood, vetiver and a faint animal warmth. A classic fougère turned toward evening, for a fine fragrance and for a shampoo, body wash or hand wash.
