Description

A malachite table in a Venetian palazzo at evening, under gilded frames: a silver dish of whole cloves, star anise, lemon and bergamot halves and a sprig of lavender. The first breath is a bright bergamot and lemon with lavender, a cool touch of mint and a sweet anise. Then the clove opens inside soft white flowers — lily of the valley, jasmine and rose — and becomes a warm, spicy carnation over a powdery heliotrope and iris. It dries down to sweet hay and tonka, a mossy floor, dry vetiver, cedar and patchouli, a hint of leather and a powdery musk. A classic spicy fougère for a fine fragrance and for shampoo, body wash and hand wash.
