Setting the heart

More than half of this formula is a bright, quick top of clean floral and citrus notes, led by its largest material, a fruity jasmine, with a soapy-fresh floral close behind. The berry materials are less than a tenth of the formula, but they are heavy and slow: they barely show in the first minutes and rise only as the fresh top thins out. So the formula opens as rain-washed white flowers and turns, in its own time, to raspberry and strawberry on a soft, clean musk.

Holding up in a product base

How a clean, stable floral material, a softer cousin of the fresh floral in the top, keeps the opening steady in a shampoo or body wash, where the base can dull quicker notes.

Reading regulations

How two very strong rose-fruit materials are made into dilutions and lowered so that, at both suggested doses, the finished product stays within the EU limit set for their family of materials.
